There is one connection between Morbius and the MCU thanks to Adrian Toomes, another Spider-Man villain, appearing in the film. The latter character was last seen arriving at a prison after the events of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Despite the audience baffled by this character appearing in Morbius. There is a possible explanation within the MCU. Dr. Strange used a spell to help Peter Parker keep his identity a secret, which ultimately backfired. During the event, heroes from other universes, such as Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard, appeared within the MCU. As events progressed in the film, Doctor Strange used another spell to send the heroes and threats back to their universes at the conclusion. With these events in mind, Toomes’ appearance in Morbius is possibly the result of Strange’s first spell.

Morbius discover he could use enzymes from the bat to draw out radioactive energy from within himself. As time passed, Morbius became more dependent on this radioactive energy as it made him stronger and prevented his body from aging.
But every time he needs to feed on radiation. It also turns out that exposure to too much radiation could be fatal, leading Morbius down a dark path where he would kill innocents to feast on their flesh.
